Richard J. “Rick” Makoujy, Jr. began his career at Price Waterhouse, before joining a Wall Street brokerage firm as a securities analyst, authoring buy and sell recommendations for stocks and bonds.

He later formed a merchant bank — Ravens Rock Capital — and raised millions of dollars of debt and equity capital from investors such as Goldman Sachs. He orchestrated the purchase, operation, and subsequent sale of a $115 million former Travelers Group-owned insurance company.

In addition to course development and live training for Accounting In An Hour, Rick has recently performed turnaround consulting and due diligence advisory work for individual and corporate clients and also pursues real estate and small business purchase opportunities.
